This major exhibition will be devoted to post-World War II art, in France, in America and on emerging artistic scenes. The period chosen was the immediate post-war period and continued until the beginning of the Cold War (1945-1950). What brings together French and American artists at this time is the feeling of starting from scratch, of re-establishing an art free from the ideologies that had accompanied artistic creation since the beginning of the 20th century.
