Spring Planning Meeting

The annual Spring Planning Meeting, hosted by the Terra Foundation for American Art, is held in Giverny, France. It is intended mainly for museum directors and curators, and provides FRAME leadership with a platform for focused discussions about joint exhibitions and art loans that were approved at the FRAME Annual Conference and are already in development. Invited museum directors and curators in the network who what to introduce new initiatives for FRAME sponsorship, are selectively asked to make formal presentations at this meeting.

The Terra Foundation’s generous hospitality and the beauty of the Giverny site offer a serene and intimate setting for this meeting that helps to foster brainstorming on the development of current exhibition ideas and to discuss strategies for art loans and exhibition research. These planning sessions are at the heart of the FRAME ideology – colleagues from both sides of the Atlantic working together to resolve issues of mutual interest and concern, as well as laying the foundation for new exhibitions. Cultural leaders from the FRAME Board of Directors are also invited to participate at these meetings and provide the value of their experience.
