FRAME was delighted to partner with Villa Albertine and the Center for Curatorial Leadership in their 2023 Museum Series. The Series will bring together 24 female leaders from premier cultural institutions in France and the United States and explore the future of museums on both sides of the Atlantic through timely conversations held in 2023 on how museums must reinvent themselves to meet the challenges of the present that featured American and French female museum directors who shared their perspective about the future of museums.
The October 10, 2023 session featured four dynamic colleagues from FRAME network:
• Esther Bell, Deputy Director of the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown
• Laure Dalon, Director of the Musée des Augustins in Toulouse
• Min Jung Kim, The Barbara B. Taylor Director of the Saint Louis Art Museum
• Sophie Lévy, Director of the Musée d’arts de Nantes
The conversation was moderated by Zoe Kahr, Executive Director of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, and former Deputy Director for Curatorial and Planning at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, a museum member of the FRAME network.
FRAME is most grateful to our esteemed colleagues for their participation in the panel discussion. You can listen to this fascinating exchange here.
