FRAME is pleased to provide support for the exhibition: Le Paris de la modernité, 1905-1925, on view at the Petit Palais Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris through April 14, 2024.
Le Paris de la modernité is the last exhibition in the trilogy that included Paris Romantique, 1815-1858 and Paris 1900, la Ville spectacle, which represented Paris as a cultural hub for artists all around the world at the beginning of the 20th century. With almost 400 works of art, by artists such as Robert Delaunay, Marcel Duchamp, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso and many others, the exhibition gives the opportunity to see and feel immersed in the creative scene of these important years.
The professional research grant from FRAME allowed the chief curator, Juliette Singer, to visit the Saint-Louis Art Museum (SLAM) and deepen her knowledge of Joséphine Baker and her American background. Singer will present her research on Joséphine Baker during a panel discussion about the exhibition on March 15, 2024 at the Petit Palais. Learn more.
