FRAME Announces Partnership with the Villa Albertine

FRAME and the Villa Albertine are partnering to build bridges and increase learning opportunities between museums in France and the United States. Recently, FRAME members were invited to apply for two types of transatlantic collaborations enabled by this exciting long-term partnership:

1.)  Research Residencies (1-3 months): An exploration of collections and methodologies in the United States for French museum directors, curators and educators.

2.) Museums Next Generation Program (10-15 days): An acceleration program that aims to engage young French and American museum professionals in a transatlantic dialogue about the contemporary challenges museums face.

These two programs have been initiated by Villa Albertine.

Final applications from the American segment of the 2024 Museums Next Generation were received on July 10, 2024.  Jury review is now underway and the announcement of the selected candidates is planned for the end of July, 2024.

The partnership between FRAME and the Villa Albertine is one of the first tangible results of FRAME’s strategic plan, adopted at its October 2023 annual meeting. It aims to strengthen and solidify the connections between French and American museums and their professionals at this exciting time of transformation and evolution in the cultural sector.
