Three FRAME laureates for the new edition of Museums Next Generation
For its third edition, the Museums Next Gen program (Villa Albertine) will enable seven French curators to travel from Texas to the East Coast of the United States to strengthen their professional skills on American soil and meet key museum figures across the Atlantic.
Museums Next Gen was initiated in 2023 by Villa Albertine. It is dedicated to new generations of museums curators. The program encourages field experience and immersion in new contexts to increase their knowledge of the contemporary museum world and nurture new transatlantic reflections essential to their careers.
Museums Next Gen is held twice a year – alternately in France and the United States – each time for ten days. The current edition will start in Texas, and then will extend to New York and the East Coast, from April 7 to 17, 2025.
Since 2024, FRAME has been a partner of the Villa Albertine as part of Museums Next Gen. The network is happy to encourage the careers of young curators by hosting them at some of FRAME events during their travels. Several FRAME museums are also opening their doors to them. The Villa Albertine is delighted to support young FRAME professionals on these exploratory missions.
Of the seven curators selected by the jury from a total of 40 candidates, three are members of the FRAME* network. Congratulations to all of them!:
