{"id":3590,"date":"2022-01-21T15:30:24","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T20:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framemuseums.org\/?p=3590"},"modified":"2022-01-26T16:34:32","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T21:34:32","slug":"frame-announces-dates-for-2021-annual-meeting-in-marseille","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framemuseums.org\/fr\/frame-announces-dates-for-2021-annual-meeting-in-marseille\/","title":{"rendered":"FRAME 2022 Annual Conference &#8211; May 18-20, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FRAME will host the <strong>2022 Annual Conference on May 18- 20, 2022 in Marseille.<\/strong> The theme of this year&#8217;s conference is &#8220;Re-Imagining Our Future.&#8221; The conference will open on Wednesday, 18 at 2:00 PM with the general assembly of the network and feature keynote addresses from <strong>Andr\u00e1s Sz\u00e1nt\u00f3, Ph.D. <\/strong>and <strong>Pap Ndiaye, Ph.D.,<\/strong> who will share their thoughts on the critical issues facing museums on both sides of the Atlantic. Andr\u00e1s Sz\u00e1nt\u00f3, Ph.D., is a New York-based cultural strategist and widely acclaimed author, whose recent book, <em>The Future of the Museum<\/em>, addresses the challenges and untapped potential of art museums in the post-pandemic era. Pap Ndiaye\u00a0 is a French historian who studies trans-national philosophies of racial identity which draw on American and French political thought, especially as they apply to the African diasporic populations in both countries. He is the executive director of the French National Museum of the History of Immigration, the Palais de la Porte Dor\u00e9e, in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will also include a panel discussion on the development of new narratives to re-contextualize collections and a series of round table discussions, workshops and breakout sessions on current issues, best practices, scholarly projects and educational programs.<\/p>\n<p>FRAME welcomes three professionals from each member museum to attend the 2022 conference.
