{"id":5764,"date":"2025-02-14T13:51:28","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T18:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framemuseums.org\/?page_id=5764"},"modified":"2025-02-14T13:51:28","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T18:51:28","slug":"frame-research-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/framemuseums.org\/fr\/frame-research-program\/","title":{"rendered":"FRAME Research Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The FRAME Research Program intends to expand scholarship by <strong>increasing knowledge, learning and skills<\/strong> through collective exchanges and deliverables to the benefit of museum professionals and the public.<\/p>\n<h3>Scope<\/h3>\n<p>This program encourages discussions and collective reflections upon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FRAME collections (interpretation, restoration, provenance, inventory, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>All or part of an exhibition (essays for a catalogue, educational and cultural programming, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>An aspect of welcoming visitors (scenography, devices, new technologies, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>A new look on art history (all areas, disciplines, and periods are accepted)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of note: a combination of these aspects is recommended to increase inclusivity in the interest of museums professionals and audiences.<\/p>\n<h3>How does it work?<\/h3>\n<p>The <em>FRAME Research Program<\/em> is animated by the FRAME Program Committee. The French and North American members of the Committee share expertise, ideas, and thoughts during virtual meetings with the aim to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Raising or answering questions from the field.<\/li>\n<li>Developing shared projects.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing joint deliverables, so-called \u201cFRAMEworks\u201d which include:\n<ul>\n<li>Lectures; panel discussions; workshops; articles; vade mecum; catalogues, depending on the subjects and needs determined by member museums.<\/li>\n<li>They can give rise to virtual or in-person seminars; study days; symposiums.<\/li>\n<li>They are accessible to FRAME members and to a general audience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>FRAME Support<\/h3>\n<p>With a goal to bring assistance to the membership, FRAME creates the appropriate context of dialogue to launch discussions and to accompany the development of projects and \u201cFRAMEworks\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>When justified, FRAME can also provide Research Fellowships.
